yesterday's highs. it may bring us some record heat and we'll take a look at those numbers for your neighborhood coming up. >>> one person is in critical condition after a drive-by shooting that injured three others. it happened around 8:00 last night near the intersection of ivy drive and win mere avenue in the bellhaven neighborhood. we're live with more. >> reporter: the police were here at the scene up to an hour ago. they just reopened the street. this is windermere and ivy drive. and this is the site where four men were shot in front of this house in front of us. the police laid out evidence markers on the street and talked to witnesses. and they say that the four money were standing outside this home on ivy drive and neighbors heard ten to 20 shots fired. >> what we could piece together is that the folks were in front of a house here on ivy drive and windermere. and two vehicles drove by and it was somewhat of a drive-by shooting. >> reporter: all four adult males were taken to sanford medical center and were to in good condition. one stable, one is in critical condition. the

bay mountain and valley locations. some of us slipping back to near 30 degrees. show you what you can expect for your afternoon coming up. >>> a memorial is being dedicated on this veterans day for the men and women who serve this country. >> hundreds are expected at the ceremony. allie rasmus joins us. >> reporter: this is behind the park in the community center. this is the new veterans memorial that is going to be unveiled and dedicated officially today at 11:00 for veteran's day. it is 35 feet across. you can see the flagpole in the center of t and they will have a brand new flag flying from it. it is one for each branch of the military. now, it took eight months to build and countless hours of effort to raise the $200,000 needed to build the memorial. >> this is the post war 1961 that spearheaded the project. now, that it is complete. it will be dedicated at a ceremony that starts here in the park. this is in castor valley. >> there will be a helicopter and c-130 flyover. dignitaries will speak and members of the american legion. veterans of foreign wars will lay wreaths out here

watching the returns tonight have all joined him on the stage. now he told us earlier in the day that he had only written one speech when he came into boston on his campaign plane this afternoon and that was a victory speech. obviously he did not give that speech to be the. a very disappointed mitt romney. this is his second run for the white house. and as we told you earlier this evening, his father george romney, when he was secretary of hud and i worked on capitol hill in the early 70s he made a run for the white house in 1968 when he was governor of michigan. mitt romney always says he wish he could fulfill his father's dream and for him to be elected president. but we've seen tonight obviously that has not happened. mitt romney has made it clear that he will not run for president again as i said this is his second run for the presidency. but he says he will remain in politics. he will be a strong political voice in this country. now some of his supporters here as you see are already beginning to leave. some told me this evening after it was projected that mitt romney had lost that t

president alley election and david stevenson is in san francisco tonight to tell us what he is finding out about the question of turn out. >> reporter: the voting booths behind me here at the city hall are staying busy ahead of the polls closing at eight. san francisco has just overra 503,000 registered voter, typical turn out for the election is 71%. 9 elections department said it may be a lower figure this year. we have learned just over half of the 260,000 vote by mail ballots have been returned this evening but we are seeing a lot of people at this hour coming to vote in the booths including first time voters of all ages. >> first time working it's very important. i want to vote for this country. the united states. >> it was really exciting and it was shall -- i was really happy to involve before i couldn't vote. >> reporter: and despite the concerns about the turn out san francisco has two closely watched races and initiatives ranging from the gross receipt taxes plan to the possible branding of the reservoir. they expect to start releasing preliminary results of some of the ballots
